Among the publisher's notable successes was its being awarded the exclusive rights in 1991 by the Nobel Foundation in Stockholm to publish (in English) the entire series of Nobel lectures. World Scientific has also co-founded the London-based Imperial College Press with London University's Imperial College.

Voluntary Article Processing Charge

- In order to cover parts of the publication cost of this volume, there is the article processing charge US$290 for each accepted book chapter.
- In return, there will be one complimentary book copy for each book chapter. In case if there is any customs/import tax to the author’ country, the author will be responsible for his own customs tax if the author chooses to receive the complimentary book copy.
- For those authors who do not have funding for the article processing charge, a department letter is needed to state that the authors do not have enough research funding to cover the article processing charge. Then, the publication cost for that chapter will be sponsored by the organizer, i.e., the International Association of Engineers, on behalf of those authors.
