Conference Location

The conference will be held at the Clark Kerr Campus, a popular university conference center of UC Berkeley in San Francisco Bay Area, about one hour drive from the San Francisco International Airport, USA, with any overflows at other near-by hotels. The picturesque Spanish colonial style architecture is set against the beautiful Berkeley foothills, providing great sunsets and views of San Francisco. Enclosed courtyards, spacious lawns, and patios create a feeling of serenity and solitude.

BART (Subway)
Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) trains operate from Fremont, Richmond, Pittsburg and Millbrae. A map indicating the route and stops of each train is located at each station. The Berkeley BART station "Downtown Berkeley" is just 1-1/2 blocks from the Berkeley campus.

Public Transportation from the Airports
From the Oakland International Airport (OAK):

BART is the rapid transit service in the Bay Area. You can take the AirBART shuttle from the Oakland airport to the Coliseum BART station for $3.00 one-way (exact change only; cash or a BART ticket). AirBART shuttles arrive at the Oakland airport every 15 to 20 minutes. Take a "Richmond" train to the Downtown Berkeley BART station.

Taxi fare from the Oakland airport to the Berkeley area will be about $30-50 one way, depending on exact destination. Allow about 45 minutes to reach Berkeley.

From the San Francisco International Airport (SFO):

BART is the rapid transit service in the Bay Area. The BART station at the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is located on Level 3 of the International Terminal. The station has two entrances, a "walk-in" entrance on Level 3 and another accessible from "AirTrain," the airport's free shuttle train that connects various airport terminals. All domestic and international flights are a short walk (15 minutes or less) from the SFO BART station. There is no direct train from SFO to the downtown Berkeley station. Board a "Dublin/Pleasonton" train, transfer to a "Richmond" train at the Balboa Park station, and take that train to the Downtown Berkeley station. Or, board a "Pittsburg/Bay Point" train, transfer to a "Richmond" train at the 12th Street/Oakland City Center station, and take that train to the Downtown Berkeley station.

Taxi fare from the San Francisco airport to the Berkeley area will be about $40-60 one way, depending on exact destination. Allow about 1 hour to reach Berkeley.

About WCECS 2016

The WCECS 2016 is organized by the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), a non-profit international association for the engineers and the computer scientists. The congress has the focus on the frontier topics in the theoretical and applied engineering and computer science subjects. The WCECS conferences serve as good platforms for our members and the entire engineering community to meet with each other and to exchange ideas. Our committees have been formed with over two hundred conferences co-chairs and committees members who are mainly research center heads, faculty deans, department heads, professors, and research scientists from over 20 countries.

All submitted papers will be under peer review and accepted papers will be published in the conference proceeding (ISBN: 978-988-14047-1-8). The abstracts will be indexed and available at major academic databases. The accepted papers will also be considered for publication in the special issues of the journal Engineering Letters, in IAENG journals and in edited books.
